Take the nostalgia Gen Z craves and “Flip It” to today, combining iconic form factor of ‘00s without giving up selfie innovation of now.

Solution

Android & Samsung reimagine the era where flip phones were the quintessential accessory. Developed in partnership with the iconic fashion label Baby Phat, we launched a Y2K-inspired capsule collection (including custom Flip5s) in partnership with social commerce app NTWRK inserting Android directly into the trend that merges 2000’s vintage with modern technology, that dropped at Art Basel through an immersive Y2K custom event.

The social-led hero video acted as our first custom content drop, that tells the story of creating the Y2K Core collection whilst bringing the key features of Android & Samsung to life.  At Art Basel, we created Android’s first ever experiential event where attendees stepped into a carefully curated Y2K Mall experience.
